Job Summary
The Dietician will be responsible for providing specialized nutritional assessment, counseling, and diet planning for urology patients, including those with kidney stones, chronic kidney disease (CKD), post-operative urology conditions, and metabolic disorders. The role requires close coordination with urologists and clinical teams to support patient recovery and long-term disease management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed nutritional assessments for urology inpatients and outpatients
- Develop individualized diet plans for:
- Kidney stone management (renal calculi)
- Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD – pre-dialysis stages)
- Post-operative urology patients
- Recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- Metabolic and lifestyle-related urological conditions
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative dietary counseling
- Educate patients and caregivers on:
- Fluid management
- Sodium, protein, potassium, and oxalate control
- Lifestyle modifications to prevent disease recurrence
- Monitor patient compliance and modify diet plans based on clinical progress
- Maintain accurate diet charts and nutritional documentation in patient records
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and clinical staff for integrated patient care
- Participate in patient education programs, camps, and preventive health initiatives
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and infection control standards
- Stay updated with current nutrition guidelines related to urology and renal care
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition / Dietetics
- Registered Dietician (where applicable)
- 3–6 years of clinical experience, preferably in:
- Urology
- Nephrology
- Multi-specialty hospital setup
- Experience in renal nutrition and therapeutic diets is mandatory
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of renal and urology-specific diets
- Excellent patient counseling and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Empathetic, patient-centric approach
- Proficiency in hospital information systems (preferred)
Working Conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
