- Process Engineering: Direct the scale-up of API synthesis from lab and pilot plant stages to full commercial manufacturing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all plant operations strictly adhere to cGMP, OSHA, and EPA guidelines.
- Operational Excellence: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to maximize yield, reduce batch cycle times, and minimize solvent waste.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Assurance, R&D, and plant maintenance to resolve process deviations and equipment failures.
- Team Leadership: Manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, providing performance reviews, mentorship, and technical direction.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, or closely related fields.
- Experience: 10+ years in chemical or API manufacturing, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Technical Proficiencies: Strong understanding of mass and heat transfer, P&ID creation, and process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, CHEMCAD).
- Core Competencies: Deep knowledge of cGMP guidelines, HAZOP studies, and root cause analysis.
