About the Role:
- We are looking for a Nutraceutical (Nutra) Medical Representative (MR) in the pharmaceutical industry who is responsible for promoting and selling health-related products—such as dietary supplements, functional foods, and natural health solutions—to healthcare professionals (HCPs), retailers, and distributors. They bridge the gap between scientific product benefits and clinical adoption by educating providers on how these products improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Detailing & Education: Conduct field visits to wellness centers to educate on product benefits, clinical data, and dosage. (Like, Pharmacist Chains (Apollo, Planet Health, Dealers, Distributors, C&F, Gyms, etc.)
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term trust with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), doctors, and pharmacists to influence prescription habits and brand adoption.
- Sales Execution: Achieve monthly prescription targets and territory sales goals by identifying high-volume dealers and converting prospects into loyal clients.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and new product launches to identify market advantages and provide feedback to management.
- Distribution Coordination: Work with stockists and distributors to ensure product availability in pharmacies and retail outlets, preventing stock-outs.
- Administrative Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records of field activities, customer interactions, and daily call reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Industry Experience: 1–5 years in pharmaceutical or nutraceutical field sales is often preferred, though entry-level roles exist for those with strong scientific interest.
- Key Soft Skills: o Persuasion & Negotiation: Ability to handle objections and convince HCPs to switch to your brand. o Effective Communication: Translating complex scientific data into clear, persuasive clinical benefits. o Territory Management: Highly organized approach to scheduling multiple daily visits and managing a regional calendar.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software for tracking sales leads and pipeline performance, DBMS.
Key Work Environment:
- High Mobility: Involves extensive local travel to meet doctors and visit pharmacies within a designated territory.
- Independent Nature: Reps often set their own hours based on provider schedules, requiring high self-motivation and stamina.
- Ethical Standards: Must strictly adhere to regulatory guidelines (e.g., FSSAI or CDSCO norms) and medical ethics in all promotional activities.
