Position Summary
The Development Head will be responsible for driving the overall technology vision, product innovation, software development, AI initiatives, project delivery, and digital transformation strategy of the organization.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in building products from scratch, managing technology teams, delivering enterprise-grade applications, implementing AI solutions, and aligning technology investments with business objectives. The CTO will work closely with the leadership team to transform ideas into scalable digital products while ensuring operational excellence across all technology functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the organization's long-term technology strategy and roadmap.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives across all business verticals.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation and automation.
- Establish technology governance, coding standards, security frameworks, and development best practices.
- Ensure technology investments align with business growth objectives.
Product Development & Innovation
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch.
- Convert business requirements into scalable software products and platforms.
- Build product roadmaps and prioritize development initiatives.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify market opportunities and product enhancements.
- Drive innovation through customer-centric product development.
- Software Development & Project Delivery
- Lead the Software Development Department and oversee all engineering activities.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage project planning, execution, risk mitigation, and resource allocation.
- Implement Agile, Scrum, and modern project management methodologies.
- Establish processes for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Artificial Intelligence & Automation
- Drive the organization's AI and automation strategy.
- Lead the complete AI product lifecycle including:
- Problem Definition
- Dataset Identification
- Model Evaluation
- Deployment
- Monitoring & Optimization
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, Machine Learning, NLP, and Generative AI technologies.
- Implement AI-powered business solutions to improve productivity and customer experience.
Digital Marketing & Growth Technology
- Provide strategic technology leadership to support Digital Marketing and Growth initiatives.
- Oversee the development, optimization, and performance of all company websites, landing pages, and digital assets.
- Collaborate with SEO, Content, Performance Marketing, and Creative teams to improve digital visibility and customer acquisition.
- Drive implementation of CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, lead management systems, and customer engagement technologies.
- Establish analytics and reporting frameworks to measure campaign effectiveness, website performance, conversion rates, and ROI.
- Evaluate and implement AI-powered marketing tools, automation platforms, and Martech solutions.
- Support business growth through technology-enabled digital marketing strategies.
Leadership & Team Management
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing technology teams.
- Develop future technology leaders within the organization.
- Manage performance, training, and succession planning for technical teams.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business leaders, founders, investors, and department heads.
- Translate business objectives into technology solutions.
- Present technology strategies, project updates, and investment recommendations to senior leadership.
- Act as a trusted advisor on all technology-related decisions.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with enterprise application development.
- Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Automation.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and modern software architectures.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and system scalability.
Leadership & Business Skills
- Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.

Qualifications
- Btech Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
- Master's Degree or MBA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Technology, Product Development, Software Engineering, Project Delivery, or Digital Transformation.
- Prior experience as CTO, GM Technology, Head of Technology, or similar leadership role preferred.
