Role purpose: Run customer-facing business operations and turn the founder’s quarterly direction into disciplined execution, measurable growth, and accountable delivery. The role is broader than sales, but requires strong sales fluency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Convert quarterly roadmaps into clear priorities, targets, and follow-up.
· Lead execution across sales, marketing, customer success/account growth, and delivery.
· Improve pipeline quality, lead follow-up, conversion, forecasting, retention, upsell, and cross-sell.
· Run weekly leadership reviews and simple scorecards; hold department heads accountable for commitments.
· Keep the organization focused on a limited number of priorities and challenge distracting initiatives.
· Partner with HR on leadership capability, hiring needs, performance issues, and having the right people in the right roles.
· Own the numbers: report weekly/monthly on business health and manage budgets and resources so effort and spend go where they matter most.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
· Leadership: 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years leading managers, multiple teams, or a business unit.
· Sales fluency: Direct sales management experience or experience managing a sales leader; able to assess pipeline, qualification, activity quality, conversion, forecasting, and sales cadence.
· Cross-functional scope: Experience coordinating at least two customer-facing functions such as sales, marketing, customer success, account management, or delivery.
· Growth record: Evidence of delivering measurable revenue, customer acquisition, retention, or account-growth results.
· Execution discipline: Demonstrated ability to build operating rhythms, set priorities, assign ownership, track metrics, and close actions.
· Leadership style: Calm, practical, hands-on, decisive, and able to coach leaders and address underperformance.
· Founder partnership: Comfortable working with an ideas-driven founder and pushing back respectfully when focus is at risk.
· Communication and ownership: Strong meeting leadership, written and verbal communication, accountability, integrity, resilience, and work ethic.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Must demonstrate
commercial understanding in sales, cross-functional leadership, and quantified execution results.
Must provide
specific examples of plans converted into repeatable processes and measurable outcomes.
Preferred
B2B SaaS/technology, services, training/learning, founder-led companies, multi-channel go-to-market, remote/global teams, and budget or P&L exposure.
