About the Role
Morning Star Matriculation School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Yoga Teacher to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and holistic development among students. The ideal candidate should be capable of conducting engaging yoga sessions, teaching proper techniques, and fostering healthy lifestyle habits in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily yoga classes for students across different grade levels.
- Teach yoga postures (Asanas), Pranayama, Meditation, and relaxation techniques.
- Develop age-appropriate yoga lesson plans and activities.
- Encourage students to improve flexibility, concentration, discipline, and overall wellness.
- Ensure the safety of students during yoga sessions.
- Organize yoga demonstrations, wellness programs, and events on special occasions.
- Monitor students' progress and provide guidance for improvement.
- Collaborate with school management for health and wellness initiatives.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Follow all school policies and child safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree in Yoga or equivalent qualification.
- Certification in Yoga from a recognized institution (Yoga Alliance, YCB, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Yoga Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation, and Yoga Philosophy.
