Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PGT Social Science Teacher to teach senior secondary students and foster a deep understanding of History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, and related social science subjects. The candidate should be passionate about teaching, capable of creating engaging learning experiences, and committed to students' academic growth and overall development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Social Science subjects for senior secondary classes.
- Develop lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum and academic standards.
- Create an interactive and student-centered learning environment.
- Assess, evaluate, and monitor student performance through assignments, projects, tests, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and academic progress.
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive examinations where applicable.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Organize and participate in educational activities, field visits, exhibitions, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administration to support student development.
- Ensure classroom discipline and adherence to school policies.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related Social Science discipline.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school (preferred).
- Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in classroom management and student engagement techniques.
- Familiarity with CBSE/ICSE/State Board curriculum requirements.
