About the Role
Stark Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Project Engineer – Electrical to support the delivery of high-rise building projects in the UAE. As a PMC (Project Management Consultancy), we require a professional with strong electrical engineering expertise and a good understanding of BIM workflows to coordinate, review, and manage electrical design and construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in electrical design calculations, technical reviews, BIM-based coordination, and project execution for residential, commercial, mixed-use, or high-rise developments.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering & Design Review
- Perform and review electrical load calculations, demand calculations, voltage drop calculations, cable sizing, and short-circuit studies.
- Review electrical design drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Evaluate power distribution systems, lighting systems, emergency power systems, ELV systems, and earthing/lightning protection systems.
- Review single-line diagrams (SLDs), panel schedules, and electrical layouts.
- Coordinate with design consultants and contractors to ensure technical compliance and design optimization.
BIM & Technical Coordination
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and multidisciplinary design reviews.
- Review electrical BIM models and ensure compliance with project requirements and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection disciplines to resolve design and construction conflicts.
- Support clash detection reviews and ensure timely resolution of coordination issues.
- Utilize BIM models for design validation, coordination, and project monitoring.
Project Management & Site Coordination
- Monitor electrical project progress and support project delivery objectives.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions from contractors.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Support project planning, risk identification, and issue resolution.
- Ensure timely closure of technical queries, RFIs, and coordination comments.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with UAE regulations, international codes, and project specifications.
- Conduct technical reviews to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout design and construction phases.
- Monitor contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare technical reports, review comments, project updates, and coordination records.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure proper tracking of design changes and approvals.
- Support project managers in delivering accurate project status reports.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering for building construction projects.
- Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working on UAE/GCC projects is highly preferred.
- Experience in PMC, consultancy, or contractor environments will be an advantage.
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and building services engineering.

- Good understanding of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Ability to review and coordinate BIM models.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Revit MEP and Navisworks is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with ETAP, Dialux, or similar electrical engineering software is an advantage.
- Familiarity with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is desirable.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

- Experience reviewing BIM deliverables and coordinating with BIM teams.
- PMP or other project management certifications will be an added advantage.
