About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Lawyer Intern to support our legal and compliance functions within the fintech sector. The intern will assist in handling corporate legal matters, drafting and reviewing agreements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting legal operations related to financial technology services. This role provides hands-on exposure to fintech regulations, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and business transactions.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in researching and interpreting legal and regulatory requirements applicable to fintech companies in India.
* Support compliance initiatives related to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines, National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) regulations, and other relevant financial sector regulations.
* Draft, review, and maintain legal agreements, contracts, and commercial documents.
* Assist in preparing and reviewing agreements between the company and vendors, service providers, partners, and clients.
* Support the drafting and execution of agreements between two corporate entities, including partnership agreements, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and vendor contracts.
* Conduct legal research on corporate laws, fintech regulations, data protection requirements, and emerging legal developments.
* Assist in maintaining legal records, documentation, and contract databases.
* Support due diligence activities for business partnerships and corporate transactions.
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure legal compliance across business operations.
* Assist in preparing legal opinions, compliance reports, and regulatory documentation.
Required Knowledge and Skills
* Basic understanding of Indian Corporate and Company Laws.
* Awareness of legal and regulatory challenges faced by fintech companies.
* Familiarity with RBI guidelines, NPCI regulations, payment system regulations, and financial compliance requirements.
* Understanding of contract law and commercial agreements.
* Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
## Educational Qualifications
* Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or an integrated law program (B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., B.Com. LL.B.).
* Candidates with coursework or exposure to Corporate Law, Banking Law, Financial Regulations, or Commercial Law will be preferred.

* Internship or academic exposure to corporate legal functions, fintech, banking, or financial services.
* Basic knowledge of data privacy, digital payments, and financial technology regulations.
* Familiarity with legal drafting and contract review processes.

Compensation:
This is a performance-based internship with no fixed monthly stipend. Interns who successfully complete the 5 month internship and demonstrate strong performance, commitment, and contribution may be eligible for a stipend, incentive, or completion bonus based on their overall evaluation.
