Jr. PPC Engineer (Production Planning & Control) – Roles & Responsibilities
Experience Required: 1–2 Years
Industry: Heavy Fabrication / Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer requirements and delivery schedules.
- Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to planned schedules.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Purchase, Quality, and Dispatch departments for smooth workflow.
- Track material availability and highlight shortages that may impact production.
- Prepare and maintain production planning reports, MIS, and progress trackers.
- Follow up on pending jobs and ensure timely completion as per the production plan.
- Monitor work orders, production status, and WIP (Work-in-Progress).
- Update production data in ERP/MIS systems and generate required reports.
- Support capacity planning and manpower planning activities.
- Coordinate with the purchase team for critical material follow-ups.
- Analyze production delays and prepare action plans for schedule recovery.
- Ensure timely closure of production orders and documentation.
- Assist in inventory control and stock monitoring activities.
- Maintain production planning records, schedules, and reports.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and on-time delivery.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC)
- Understanding of Heavy Fabrication and Manufacturing Processes
- Ability to Read Engineering Drawings and BOMs
- Knowledge of Material Planning and Inventory Control
- ERP/MRP System Knowledge (Preferred)
- Strong MS Excel and Reporting Skills
- Good Analytical, Coordination, and Communication Skills
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- 1–2 Years of experience in PPC, Production Planning, Production Coordination, or Manufacturing Operations in a Heavy Fabrication, Engineering, Automotive, or Industrial Equipment Manufacturing Industry.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
