Mebanka is building a new fintech platform that enables customers to commit spending with merchants and receive enhanced value through merchant-funded benefits, cashback, and investment-linked rewards. We are working with leading banking and merchant partners to create a new customer engagement and loyalty ecosystem.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Partnerships & Business Development to lead strategic merchant acquisition and partnership growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnerships
- Identify and acquire strategic merchant partners across retail, fuel, telecom, healthcare, travel, education, utilities, and other sectors.
- Build relationships with CXOs, business heads, and decision-makers.
- Develop partnership proposals, commercial models, and business cases.
- Negotiate partnership agreements and commercial terms.
Business Development
- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of partnership opportunities.
- Drive merchant onboarding and activation.
- Develop market-entry strategies for new verticals.
- Represent Mebanka at industry events and partner meetings.
Revenue & Growth
- Achieve partnership acquisition and revenue growth targets.
- Identify opportunities for merchant-funded rewards, cashback programs, loyalty initiatives, and customer acquisition partnerships.
- Develop scalable partnership frameworks.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with product, operations, compliance, legal, and banking partners.
- Coordinate with external partners during onboarding and implementation.
Process Development
- Create partnership acquisition playbooks.
- Establish CRM and pipeline management processes.
- Build reporting mechanisms and performance dashboards.
- Help recruit and build the future partnerships team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
- MBA preferred but not mandatory.
- 8–15 years of experience in Enterprise Sales, Strategic Partnerships, Business Development, Banking Partnerships, Fintech Partnerships, Retail Alliances.
- Proven track record of closing large partnership deals.
- Experience interacting with CXO-level stakeholders.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per month
