The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
- Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in software development with a strong focus on Core Java and Spark.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Batch and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (with Java)
- Experience with caching solutions like Pinot, Redis etc.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle DB, including schema design and query optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases, and operating systems.
- Highly experienced with Unix based operating systems and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience in writing SQL queries.
- Experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket, Git etc.
- Experience working with banking domain like pricing, risk etc. is plus.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Good knowledge of Java and spark architecture and design principles.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
