ROLE
We are looking for a hands-on, organised Textile & Production Merchandiser with strong
knowledge of fabrics, textiles and printing. The candidate will manage fabric inventory,
coordinate with printers and production vendors, and handle store/stockist orders and tracking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fabric & Textile
* Strong understanding of fabrics, compositions, textures, weights and garment suitability.
* Source and coordinate fabrics with suppliers.
* Maintain accurate fabric inventory and consumption records.
* Track fabric inward/outward, balance stock and production requirements.
Printing & Production
* Coordinate with printers from sampling/strike-offs through bulk production.
* Liaise with printers on colours, artwork, placement, quantities and timelines.
* Coordinate fabrics, trims and production requirements with vendors.
* Track sampling and production timelines and ensure timely completion.
* Identify and resolve quality or production issues.
Store / Order Merchandising
* Coordinate with stores and stockists on orders, availability and deliveries.
* Maintain updated order and production trackers.
* Track orders from confirmation to dispatch.
* Share dispatch and courier tracking details with stores.
* Follow up on pending orders, replenishments and deliveries.
Inventory & Documentation
* Maintain accurate Excel/Google Sheet trackers for fabric, orders, production and dispatches.
* Reconcile ordered, produced and dispatched quantities.
* Ensure all records are updated regularly and accurately.
REQUIREMENTS
* 2–5 years’ experience in fashion/textile merchandising or production.
* Strong practical knowledge of fabrics and textiles.
* Good understanding of textile printing processes.
* Experience coordinating with printers, fabric suppliers and production vendors.
* Strong Excel/Google Sheets and tracking skills.
* Excellent communication and follow-up abilities.
* Highly organised and detail-oriented.
* Ability to manage multiple orders, vendors and deadlines.
* Fashion/lifestyle brand experience preferred.
* Experience with hand-block, screen or digital printing is a plus.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Someone who is hands-on, proactive and extremely organised, with a genuine understanding of
textiles and the ability to independently manage fabric → printing → production → store orders →
dispatch tracking.
