About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Assistant Manager – Business Development to drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our presence in the cross-border payments market. The ideal candidate will possess strong business development expertise within the financial services or payments industry and demonstrate a proven ability to achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify and develop new business opportunities across globe
· Generate qualified leads through market research, networking, and relationship-building activities.
· Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
· Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and business growth targets.
· Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
· Prepare business proposals, presentations, and commercial negotiations with prospective clients.
· Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Operations, Product, Compliance, and Finance to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
· Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide periodic reports on business development activities, revenue forecasts, and market feedback.
· Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking forums whenever required.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
· MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
· 5–8 years of experience in Business Development or Sales within the Financial Services, FinTech, Banking, or Payments industry.
· Experience in cross-border payments, remittance, foreign exchange (FX), wholesale banknotes trading, or related financial products will be preferred.
· Exposure to international markets, particularly the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, will be an added advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
· Strong understanding of cross-border payment solutions and the regulatory environment.
· Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Proven ability to acquire new clients and manage strategic business relationships.
· Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
· Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Candidate Profile
· Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities as required.
· High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer-centric approach.
Pay: ₹408,000.00 - ₹660,000.00 per month
