Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Garment Merchandiser to manage buyer communication, order execution, production coordination, and timely delivery of garments. The candidate will be responsible for handling orders from development stage to shipment while ensuring quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Buyer & Order Management
- Handle communication with buyers regarding inquiries, order confirmations, samples, approvals, and delivery schedules.
- Understand buyer requirements and coordinate with internal teams for smooth execution.
- Prepare and maintain order sheets, T&A (Time & Action) calendars, and merchandising reports.
2. Product Development
- Coordinate with design, sampling, and production teams for product development.
- Ensure timely submission of development samples, fit samples, PP samples, and shipment samples.
- Follow up for buyer approvals and incorporate required changes.
3. Production Coordination
- Monitor production status and ensure orders are executed as per planned timelines.
- Coordinate with sourcing, fabric, trims, production, quality, and logistics departments.
- Resolve production-related issues proactively to avoid delays.
4. Costing & Commercial Follow-up
- Prepare garment costing and negotiate with buyers whenever required.
- Monitor consumption, wastage, and overall order profitability.
- Ensure all commercial documents are accurate and completed on time.
5. Quality & Delivery
- Ensure buyer quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.
- Coordinate inspections and shipment planning.
- Ensure timely dispatch of goods as per buyer delivery commitments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textile, Apparel, or related field preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in garment merchandising.
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, fabrics, trims, and quality standards.
- Experience in handling domestic and/or export buyers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Good command over MS Excel, reporting, and merchandising documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
