Job Description:
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Safety Officer to join our team at CPCL, Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring workplace safety practices, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and statutory regulations.
- Monitor work permits and safety procedures at the site.
- Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks for workers.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss events.
- Prepare safety reports and maintain safety records.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees and contractors.
- Coordinate emergency response and safety training activities.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in any discipline with Safety Certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Safety Officer.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulations.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle site safety requirements.
