Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and take detailed patient histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays, and ECGs.
- Diagnose acute and chronic illnesses and formulate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and administer therapeutic treatments.
- Patient Care and Emergency Services:
- Provide immediate care and stabilize patients in critical situations or emergencies.
- Perform minor procedures, including wound suturing and abscess drainage.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment regimens accordingly.
- Refer complex cases to specialists.
- Documentation and Administration:
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and case sheets.
- Write discharge summaries and referral notes.
- Verify and manage medical records using electronic systems.
- Preventive Care and Education:
- Advise patients and the community on preventative measures, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle habits.
