About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team in a fast-paced defence manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on ERP experience, and the ability to manage finance operations with accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
Pass accurate Journal Entries (Debit/Credit) and maintain proper accounting records.
Ensure adherence to the Accrual Basis of Accounting.
Handle accounting for GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax (PT) and ensure statutory compliance.
Manage Payroll Accounting and employee-related accounting entries.
Perform Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activities including follow-ups and reconciliations.
Prepare and post Month-End Closing Entries, including accruals and adjustments.
Account for Prepaid Expenses and maintain amortization schedules.
Prepare and track Monthly Provisions Accounting.
Pass and maintain Depreciation Entries as per accounting standards and company
policy.
Verification, Reconciliation & Controls
Verify and validate Invoices, GRNs, Purchase Orders, Quotations, and supporting
documents.
Conduct Ledger Reconciliations and obtain Balance Confirmations from
vendors/customers.
Prepare and monitor Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
Perform periodic Physical Stock Verification and reconcile with system inventory.
Handle Inventory Accounting and stock movement accounting.
Maintain strong internal controls and documentation practices.
Banking & Treasury Operations
Initiate and coordinate Bank Transfers and payment processing.
Manage Petty Cash and Voucher Accounting.
Track Employee Advances and Reimbursements.
ERP & Documentation
Work efficiently on ERP-based Accounting Systems.
Maintain proper physical and digital documentation for easy retrieval and audit
readiness.
Ensure systematic filing and record management practices.
Required Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting
