Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Zoho Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of solutions within the Zoho ecosystem. This role requires strong technical expertise along with the ability to handle client interactions, mentor team members, and independently drive projects from requirement gathering to deployment.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working directly with clients, understanding business workflows, proposing scalable solutions, and leading implementation efforts across multiple Zoho applications and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain applications within the Zoho ecosystem (Zoho CRM, Zoho Creator, Zoho Books, Zoho People, Zoho Desk, Zoho Analytics, etc.).
- Develop advanced Deluge scripts, automations, workflows, and custom functions.
- Build and manage API integrations between Zoho and third-party platforms.
- Architect scalable backend workflows and automation systems.
- Gather business requirements from clients and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct client meetings, solution walkthroughs, demos, and implementation discussions.
- Lead end-to-end project execution with minimal supervision.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Create custom reports, dashboards, and modules to improve operational visibility.
- Ensure data integrity, system security, and implementation best practices.
- Maintain clear documentation for workflows, integrations, and system configurations.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor junior Zoho developers and support team members.
- Review code, provide technical guidance, and ensure development standards are followed.
- Manage task allocation, timelines, and project priorities within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including operations, finance, and client teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients during implementations.
What Success Looks Like (First 60 Days)
- You understand our Zoho architecture, backend systems, and client workflows.
- You independently manage client requirements and deliver scalable automation solutions.
- You successfully lead at least one implementation or migration project.
- You actively contribute to architecture discussions, process improvements, and mentoring junior team members.
- Clients and internal stakeholders trust your technical recommendations and execution.
RequirementsRequired Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of professional experience in Zoho development.
- Strong expertise in Zoho Creator, Zoho CRM, Deluge scripting, and Zoho integrations.
- Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
- Prior experience handling client communication and requirement gathering.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring developers/team members.
- Strong understanding of automation workflows and scalable system design.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work EST hours (5 AM – 2 PM EST) consistently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with international clients.
- Knowledge of backend technologies, databases, and system architecture.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.
- Zoho certifications are a plus.
