Job Summary
The role requires an experienced, qualified Supply Chain professional who
will be the key member of SCM team with wide experience in all aspects of
Materials Management including Vendor Management.
The role is responsible for managing a team and must be a strong leader who
can proactively drive and influence improvements in Supply Chain. The role
requires exceptional communication skills, to ensure effective
communications with international stakeholders.
Experience Profile
Operational experience in Supply Chain in a similar size, or larger
manufacturing organization (min.100cr), automotive and /or T1
automotive supplier
Must have strong exposure to commodities, Iron castings, Aluminum
Castings, Turned Parts, Gears, Sinters, Plastic, Rubber items
Must be familiar with import / logistics processes with exposure to
freight forwarding, customs formalities
Ability to effectively manage Material Stores, Inventories, Stock control
Experience in Vendor development, vendor engineering to ensure
stable and smooth flow of material
Experience in New product development, product zero based costing,
supplier negotiations, timely execution of projects
Strong experience in cost reduction, create new ideas for savings,
VAVE initiatives to reduce costs
Experience in budgeting / forecasting for SCM Function
Key Responsibilities Inventory Management
Overseeing stock levels to ensure sufficient supply while minimizing
excess inventory.
Procurement
Managing the sourcing and purchasing of materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality compliance.
Supplier Relations
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to
ensure timely delivery and favourable terms.
Logistics Coordination
Organizing the transportation and storage of materials to support
production schedules.
Cost Control
Monitoring budgets and reducing material costs through efficient
practices and negotiations.
Compliance
Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company policies
related to materials handling and procurement.
Team Leadership
Leading and developing the materials management team to optimize
performance.
Data Analysis
Using data to forecast material needs, manage supply chain risks, and
improve operational efficiency.
Academic Qualification - BE Mechanical
Competencies/Capabilities Required
Should have been in similar role in manufacturing business
(min.100cr).
Ability to be a strong Team player and a Team leader
Capacity to develop and implement materials management strategies
aligned with business objectives.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal with local and
overseas organization / personnel
Strong negotiation skill
Ability to analyze data for forecasting, demand planning, and
identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Pay: ₹3,500,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year
