CNC Operator / Setter (CNC Turning Preferred)

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Operator / Setter to join our Production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to manufacture high-quality precision components while ensuring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards.
Candidates with experience in CNC Turning operations will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC Turning machines (preferred) and other CNC machines such as Milling, Grinding, or Wire Cut/EDM machines as required.
- Load tools, set tool offsets, and adjust machine parameters including speeds and feeds to achieve the required tolerances.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, process sheets, and technical specifications.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure consistent product quality and production efficiency.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and minor troubleshooting.
- Identify machining issues and take corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
- Maintain production records, inspection reports, and machine setup documentation.
- Follow all company safety procedures and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve manufacturing efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator / Setter in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in CNC Turning is preferred.
- Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or Heidenhain will be an added advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality components.
- Good understanding of workplace safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
