Engine Calibration & Development
Lead petrol engine calibration activities across development, validation, and production phases.
Develop and optimize engine control strategies for performance, fuel economy, emissions, and drivability.
Analyse and calibrate ECU functions related to air path, fuel system, ignition system, torque management, emissions control, and diagnostics.
Utilize in-depth understanding of
Bosch, Denso, and Magneti Marelli ECU architectures and control logic
for calibration development and issue resolution.
Support vehicle-level and powertrain-level performance optimization.
Conduct detailed combustion analysis using cylinder pressure and combustion data.
Interpret combustion parameters and develop calibration solutions for efficiency and emissions improvement.
Possess deep understanding of engine hardware systems and calibration tools like MATLAB, Simulink, GT SUITE, ASCMO MOCA, AVL CAMEO and Model connect.
Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis
Drive systematic root cause analysis for complex engine and calibration issues.
Develop long-term corrective and preventive actions.
Troubleshoot performance, emissions, drivability, and reliability concerns.
Apply data-driven engineering methodologies to identify improvement opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate effectively with: Controls & Software Teams, Testing & Validation Teams, Program Management, Suppliers and External Development Partners.
Technical Reporting & Management Communication
Prepare technical reports, performance summaries, and development recommendations.
Present project status, technical risks, and development outcomes to senior management.
Conduct management reviews and technical decision-making meetings.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 4-5
engineers.
Define project priorities, allocate resources, and monitor team performance.
Foster technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.
Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and quality objectives.

Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
