About the Role
Manjaly Infrastructures is looking for two expert Quantity Surveyors to join our team in Thrissur. In our 30+ years of delivering high-quality construction, fiscal responsibility and accurate estimation have been key to our success. We are looking for professionals with a decade of experience to take full ownership of cost management, project estimation, and contract administration, ensuring our projects remain both high-quality and cost-effective.
Note: This position is for immediate joiners only.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimation & Costing: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and material take-offs for diverse residential and commercial projects.
- Budget Management: Monitor project costs against budgets, identify potential cost overruns, and implement strategies for cost control and value engineering.
- Contract Administration: Manage tender processes, evaluate contractor bids, and handle contract negotiations and agreements.
- Project Valuation: Conduct site visits to assess work progress and certify contractor claims and progress payments.
- Procurement Support: Collaborate with our internal procurement team to source building materials at project rates, leveraging our established supply chain.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of project costs, variations, and final accounts to ensure transparency and project profitability.
- Compliance: Ensure all costing and procurement activities adhere to industry standards and internal company policies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in quantity surveying and cost management within the construction industry.
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, and MS Excel is essential.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methodologies, market rates for materials in Kerala, and building specifications.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and mathematical mindset with a high degree of precision.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with contractors and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple project budgets simultaneously.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
