Job Title: Assistant Manager – Quality ControlJob Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Quality Control to oversee quality assurance activities, ensure compliance with company standards, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily quality control activities in the production process.
- Develop and implement quality standards, procedures, and inspection plans.
- Monitor incoming, in-process, and final product quality.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Lead internal quality audits and support external/customer audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection records, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Purchase, and Supplier teams to improve product quality.
- Train and guide QC inspectors and production employees on quality requirements.
- Monitor quality KPIs such as rejection rate, rework, customer complaints, and supplier quality performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Quality Management or ISO 9001 is an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance in a manufacturing industry.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Quality Control tools and techniques.
- Good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, 7 QC Tools, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and ERP systems.
