About Learning Trails
Learning Trails is a specialized, 1-on-1 child-centered learning space in Kukatpally, Hyderabad. We do not run rote tuition, repetitive homework drills, or speed-reading classes.
We work with children in Grades 1 to 6 who feel overwhelmed by reading, freeze when pushed, or struggle to connect sounds, letters, and meaning. Through our proprietary frameworks—The Reading Trail (Where words begin to bloom) and The Meaning Trail (From words to worlds)—we provide soft openings, building visual clarity, mental imagination, and emotional trust without pressure or comparison.
Role Overview
We are hiring Remedial Education & Cognitive Reading Interns to guide primary school children through 1-on-1 sessions.
No prior teaching experience is required. We provide full, hands-on training in our proprietary delivery frameworks, sensory prompts, and curriculum tracking skeletons before you lead independent sessions.
This is an on-site, in-person position at our Kukatpally center.
What You’ll Do
- Guide 1-on-1 Sessions: Walk with children word by word and sound by sound, helping them connect letters to shapes, sounds, and mental pictures rather than guessing blindly.
- Rebuild Reading Confidence (The Reading Trail): Guide students through foundational letter-sound mappings, syllable chunking, and workbook journeys to turn a page from a wall into a window.
- Awaken Mental Cinema (The Meaning Trail): Help children who decode mechanically to pause, picture, and feel the stories they read through gentle Socratic questions ("What did you see?", "What did you feel?").
- Cultivate Emotional Safety: Create an unhurried, patient atmosphere for sensitive learners who curl inward, ensuring mistake-making is met with safety rather than correction.
- Log Student Progress: Track daily reading accuracy, word patterns, and lesson milestones on our Master Curriculum Skeletons.
- Engage in Daily Mentorship: Participate in daily 2:00 PM skill-building sprints and calibration sessions with the founder.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or currently enrolled students/freshers) in Psychology (B.A./B.Sc./M.Sc.), B.Ed. / Special Education, Child Development, English, or Linguistics.
- Deep empathy, listening sensitivity, and natural patience with young children.
- Clear, warm, and gentle speaking voice with clean English pronunciation.
- Willingness to unlearn rigid teaching habits in favor of slow, reflective, child-led guidance.
Preferred (Beneficial but not mandatory):
- Familiarity with early childhood literacy, remedial reading, or supporting sensitive/hesitant learners.
- Residing along the Kukatpally / KPHB Colony / Miyapur metro corridor for an easy commute.
What You Will Gain
- Deep Pedagogical Mentorship: Learn how to rebuild foundational decoding and deep reading comprehension from the ground up.
- Direct Career Growth: High-performing interns transition directly to Junior Trailguide roles with structured compensation growth.
- Certificate of Internship & Formal Recommendation Letter upon completion.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
