Role Summary
JCPRO Academy is seeking a nurturing, creative, and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to provide a joyful and engaging learning experience for young learners. The teacher will create a safe, stimulating, and child-centered environment that supports children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development through play-based and experiential learning. JCPRO's kindergarten program blends Montessori and Kindergarten approaches to prepare children for academic and life success.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning experiences for LKG and UKG students.
- Foster early literacy, numeracy, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Conduct activity-based, play-way, and experiential learning sessions.
- Encourage creativity through storytelling, music, art, movement, and hands-on activities.
- Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions.
Classroom Management
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Maintain learning centers, teaching materials, and classroom displays.
- Establish routines that promote independence, responsibility, and self-confidence.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
Child Development & Assessment
- Observe and document children's developmental progress.
- Conduct continuous assessments and maintain student portfolios.
- Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support.
- Share progress reports and developmental feedback with parents.
Parent Engagement
- Build positive relationships with parents and guardians.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings and regular communication regarding student progress.
- Guide parents on supporting learning and development at home.
School Participation
- Participate in school events, celebrations, field trips, and assemblies.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Montessori, Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), ECCEd, or equivalent preferred.
- B.Ed. is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience teaching Preschool, Kindergarten, LKG, or UKG students.
- Freshers with strong early childhood education training may also apply.
