We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated freshers who are interested in Special Purpose Machine (SPM) assembly and maintenance. The candidate will assist in the assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems while learning industry best practices under the guidance of senior engineers.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in the mechanical assembly of Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings and assembly layouts.
- Assemble machine components using standard hand and power tools.
- Perform drilling, tapping, fitting, and alignment of mechanical parts.
- Assist in machine installation and commissioning activities.
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance of machines.
- Ensure proper tightening, alignment, and quality during assembly.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
- Follow safety procedures and company quality standards.
- Work closely with senior assembly engineers and production teams.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts.
- Interest in machine assembly and maintenance.
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments (Vernier Caliper, Steel Scale, etc.).
- Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of drilling, tapping, fitting, and mechanical assembly.
- Exposure to workshop tools and equipment.
- Understanding of machine components is an added advantage.
Qualification
- ITI (Fitter / Mechanic)
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
