The Business Analyst will work closely with clients, client business leads, product managers, technology teams, and QA teams to understand business needs, document requirements, support solution design, and ensure successful delivery of the features.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Work with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Assist in preparing BRD, FRD, SRS, use cases, workflow diagrams, and other project documentation.
- Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams to ensure common understanding of requirements.
- Collaborate with development, QA, product, and delivery teams
- Support requirement walkthroughs, backlog grooming, & user story refinement.
- Analyze business processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Support testing scenarios review, defect triage, and business user coordination.
- Maintain requirement traceability
- Contribute to product enhancements
- Stay updated on industry trends
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Domain knowledge in Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Asset Management, or Financial Services
Must to Have :
- 4 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodology.
- Experience in requirement gathering, user story writing, process mapping, and stakeholder communication.
- Domain knowledge in Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Asset Management, or Financial Services.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Experience in creating as-is and to-be flows
- Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and how AI can be applied in business and IT processes.
- Ability to use AI-enabled tools to support requirement analysis, documentation, process mapping, and productivity improvement.
- Basic understanding of prompt writing and responsible use of AI tools.
- Good knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent team player who can guide /assist/motivate team members and produce best team result.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Good to Have :
- Exposure to financial products such as equities, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, derivatives, structured products, or portfolio management.
- Understanding of trade lifecycle, order management, client onboarding, reporting, compliance, or risk management.
- Experience working with APIs, data flows, system integrations
- Basic understanding of SQL or data analysis would be an added advantage.
- Exposure to AI/GenAI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar productivity tools.
- Exposure to Estimation, Planning, Task assignment, Tracking and reporting
- Experience of interacting with North America counterparts/clients
- Experience in end to end functional testing
