Job Summary
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) will be responsible for providing round-the-clock medical support, patient assessment, emergency response, clinical coordination, and continuous monitoring of admitted patients within the hospital, especially in the oncology setup. The RMO will work closely with consultants, nursing teams, and other departments to ensure high-quality patient care and smooth hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Attend and assess patients in IPD, emergency, and oncology departments.
- Monitor admitted patients and maintain proper medical records.
- Handle medical emergencies and provide immediate stabilization.
- Assist consultants during patient rounds and procedures.
- Ensure timely execution of treatment plans prescribed by consultants.
- Monitor chemotherapy patients for adverse reactions and complications.
- Coordinate with oncology consultants for patient management.
- Review laboratory investigations and diagnostic reports.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Provide basic and advanced life support when required.
Oncology Setup Responsibilities
- Support the oncology team in day-to-day patient management.
- Monitor patients receiving chemotherapy and supportive treatments.
- Identify and escalate chemotherapy-related complications.
- Ensure adherence to oncology treatment protocols and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with pharmacy, nursing, and laboratory teams for smooth oncology operations.
- Educate patients and relatives regarding treatment plans and precautions.
- Assist in maintaining emergency preparedness within the oncology unit.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste management and safe handling practices.
Operational Responsibilities
- Coordinate with all hospital departments for effective patient care.
- Ensure timely patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Maintain shift handovers and continuity of care.
- Participate in hospital audits, NABH protocols, and quality initiatives.
- Support hospital administration in implementing clinical policies.
- Maintain discipline, professionalism, and ethical medical practices.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid State Medical Council registration.
- ACLS/BLS certification preferred.
- Experience in oncology setup or hospital emergency care preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Emergency handling and critical care management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Knowledge of oncology patient care and chemotherapy monitoring.
- Team coordination and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with NABH standards and hospital protocols.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in hospital, emergency care, ICU, or oncology setup preferred.
- Freshers with strong clinical knowledge may also apply.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
