About the Role:
Pattabhi Agro Foods Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and strategic Commercial Head to lead and manage the company’s commercial operations, procurement coordination, costing, contracts, vendor management, and business profitability. The candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities with excellent knowledge of commercial activities in manufacturing, agro, rice, or FMCG industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Operations Management
- Oversee complete commercial operations including procurement coordination, contracts, costing, and commercial documentation.
- Monitor purchase orders, agreements, and vendor transactions.
- Ensure smooth coordination between procurement, finance, logistics, and operations teams.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Support procurement team in price negotiations and vendor finalization.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and sourcing strategies for cost optimization.
Costing & Budget Control
- Monitor product costing, operational expenses, and profitability.
- Prepare commercial MIS reports and business analysis reports.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Contract & Documentation Management
- Review and manage commercial contracts, agreements, and payment terms.
- Ensure all commercial documents comply with company policies and legal standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments for approvals and documentation flow.
Logistics & Coordination
- Coordinate dispatches, inventory planning, and shipment schedules.
- Ensure timely movement of materials and products.
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams for operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Reporting
- Lead and guide the commercial team to achieve organizational objectives.
- Prepare management reports and present commercial performance updates.
- Support business expansion and strategic planning initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- MBA / PGDM in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 8–15 years of experience in commercial operations.
- Experience in Agro, Rice Mill, Manufacturing, FMCG, or Export industries preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, commercial documentation, costing, and vendor management.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of commercial compliance and operational processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools.
- Ability to handle multiple business functions effectively.
- Good communication and decision-making skills.
