We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and govern the overall technology architecture for Retail Store Operations. The successful candidate will ensure that applications, data, integrations, cloud infrastructure, and technology strategies align with business objectives and support seamless customer experiences and efficient store operations.
The role will focus on developing future-ready enterprise architecture, driving modernization from legacy platforms to cloud-native, API-first, microservices and composable architectures, and ensuring seamless integration across POS, ERP, OMS, E-Commerce, inventory, and data platforms.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Define and maintain target enterprise architecture across Application, Data, Integration, and Cloud domains.
- Develop and maintain architecture frameworks aligned with retail store operations.
- Align technology strategy with business objectives including customer engagement, inventory management, POS, and omnichannel retail.
- Drive modernization initiatives including legacy-to-cloud, API-first, microservices, and composable/headless commerce.
- Establish architecture standards and conduct architecture/design reviews.
- Govern technical debt reduction and ensure architectural consistency across projects.
- Define integration patterns using API-led, event-driven, microservices, SOA, and related approaches.
- Provide architectural guidance for cloud adoption and digital transformation.
- Design scalable and resilient architectures capable of supporting high transaction volumes, real-time inventory, seasonal peaks, and future expansion.
- Collaborate with business and IT leadership to define technology roadmaps, investments, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead vendor and solution evaluations and participate in architecture governance boards.
- Ensure architecture complies with security, privacy, regulatory, scalability, performance, and resilience requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on Oracle Retail, Oracle EBS, POS, inventory, workforce management, loyalty, and store technologies.
- Evaluate opportunities involving data analytics, AI/ML, and IoT-enabled retail solutions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 10+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in Enterprise Architecture roles.
- Strong experience in Retail Store Operations / Retail or Consumer Goods domain.
- Strong knowledge of retail ecosystems including POS, ERP, OMS, E-Commerce, inventory, and data platforms.
- Hands-on experience defining Application, Data, Integration, and Cloud architectures.
- Strong understanding of Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of microservices, API-led integration, event-driven architecture, and SOA.

- Experience with enterprise integration platforms; knowledge of SOA/OSB is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Retail and/or Oracle EBS is preferred.
- Understanding of data analytics, AI/ML, and IoT in retail environments.
- Experience driving legacy modernization and cloud transformation.
- Strong understanding of architecture governance, standards, design reviews, and technical debt management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to balance strategic architecture vision with practical implementation
