Job Summary
The Modular Sales Executive is responsible for generating sales for modular kitchens, wardrobes, office furniture, and other modular interior solutions. The role involves identifying potential customers, understanding their requirements, conducting site visits, preparing quotations, coordinating with the design and execution teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Generate new business through walk-in customers, referrals, online leads, architects, builders, and corporate clients.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets assigned by the management.
- Conduct customer meetings to understand project requirements and budgets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Follow up on all leads and convert them into confirmed orders.
Customer Consultation
- Understand customer requirements for modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, office furniture, and other modular solutions.
- Explain product features, materials, finishes, accessories, and available customization options.
- Provide suitable product recommendations based on customer needs and budget.
- Conduct site visits for measurements and requirement analysis whenever required.
Quotation & Proposal
- Prepare detailed quotations based on design, BOQ, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with the design team for layouts, 3D designs, and technical specifications.
- Negotiate pricing within company guidelines.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals and revisions.
Coordination
- Coordinate with designers, project managers, production, procurement, and installation teams.
- Ensure smooth communication between the customer and internal departments.
- Monitor project progress until successful installation and handover.
Order Management
- Prepare sales orders and collect advance payments as per company policy.
- Maintain complete documentation related to customer approvals and orders.
- Track project status and provide regular updates to customers.
Customer Relationship Management
- Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collect customer feedback after project completion.
- Maintain long-term relationships for future business opportunities.
Reporting
- Update CRM or daily sales reports.
- Maintain lead tracking, quotation status, and sales pipeline.
- Submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in Interior Design or Sales will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in modular furniture, modular kitchen, interior design, or building material sales.
- Experience in B2C and B2B sales is preferred.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong customer handling and relationship management abilities.
- Knowledge of modular furniture materials, hardware, fittings, and accessories.
- Understanding of interior design concepts and space planning.
- Ability to read layouts and BOQs.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or design software is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
- Strong presentation and closing skills.
- Ability to work under sales targets and deadlines.
