What would you do? • The USA Sales & Use tax accountant manages multi-state tax compliances and handles business notices and exemption certificates. This role requires 1 to 2 yrs of US state and local tax experience, a degree in accounting or finance or commerce with strong analytical skills, problem solving ability & strong communication skills. • Prepare and file multi states sales and use tax returns accurately. • Validate, track and manage sales tax notices and exemption certificates. • Reconcile tax accounts and process large sets of transactional data. • Research state specific taxability rules & tax rates. • Support senior staff during state tax audits and data gathering. • Collaborate with team members to deliver quality work and insights. • The process of generating source data and performing required analysis to support indirect periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) tax filings, based on the clients interpretation of statutory and tax requirements. • Examples include VAT, local sales and use taxes, property and income (business) taxes.
What are we looking for? • A Bachelor or master s degree in accounting, Tax, CA inter preferred. • 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in US indirect or state and local tax compliances. • Working knowledge of ERP systems and tax automation software (preferably Vertex) and electronic tax filing systems. • Strong command of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reconciliation. • Clear verbal and written communication skills
