About CDK
CDK builds custom workstations, servers and storage for architecture, 3D visualisation and production studios, and runs the IT infrastructure behind them — Windows Server domains, networks, backup and endpoint security.
Our clients are Pune's design and engineering firms, from 10-seat studios to 100-user offices under full AMC. You will work directly with the proprietor on live client infrastructure, not on tickets in a queue.
What you'll do
- Deploy and maintain Windows Server environments — AD DS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, DFS namespaces, file server permissions and migrations
- Own client AMC accounts end to end: preventive maintenance, escalations, documentation and periodic health reporting
- Build, test and burn-in custom workstations and servers — CPU/GPU/memory selection, assembly, BIOS tuning, benchmarking and QC before dispatch
- Configure and troubleshoot networks: switching, VLANs, firewalls and gateways, structured cabling coordination, and remote access
- Set up and manage NAS and storage, backup routines, and restore testing
- Manage endpoint security and content filtering across client fleets
- Diagnose hardware and OS-level faults — crashes, BSODs, thermal and stability issues — down to root cause, not guesswork
- Handle client-facing communication on site: scoping, walkthroughs and handover
What we're looking for
- 3 + years in IT infrastructure, systems administration or hardware engineering
- Solid Windows Server administration — you should be comfortable promoting a domain controller and explaining what FSMO roles do
- Hands-on PC hardware depth: you know why a workload is CPU-bound or GPU-bound and can spec accordingly
- Practical networking — subnetting, DNS, firewall rules, remote access
- Strong diagnostic instinct and the discipline to document what you did
- Clear written and spoken English, plus Marathi or Hindi; able to hold a technical conversation with a non-technical client
- Two-wheeler and a valid licence for client site visits across Pune
Nice to have
- Experience supporting AEC, CAD or 3D studios (AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max, SketchUp, V-Ray, Enscape workflows)
- Linux server exposure, virtualisation (Hyper-V or Proxmox), or scripting (PowerShell)
- Familiarity with endpoint security consoles, RMM or remote support tooling
- Certifications: MCSA/MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA A+ or Network+
