1. Staff Supervision & Team Management
- Assign daily tasks to housekeeping attendants (room cleaning, public areas)
- Supervise room attendants, linen staff, and cleaners
- Train new staff on cleaning procedures and standards
- Monitor performance and provide feedback or corrections
- Prepare duty rosters and manage shift schedules
2. Room Inspection & Quality Control
- Inspect cleaned rooms to ensure they meet hotel standards
- Check beds, bathrooms, amenities, and overall presentation
- Ensure VIP rooms or special requests are properly prepared
- Report maintenance issues (broken fixtures, leaks, etc.)
3. Inventory & Supplies Management
- Monitor stock of linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies
- Ensure proper use and storage of housekeeping materials
- Coordinate with stores or purchasing for replenishment
- Control wastage and prevent loss of items
4. Coordination with Other Departments
- Work closely with the front office for room status updates (vacant, occupied, ready)
- Coordinate with maintenance for repairs and upkeep
- Communicate special guest requests or priorities
- Ensure timely room availability for check-ins
5. Guest Service
- Respond to guest requests (extra towels, cleaning, amenities)
- Handle complaints related to room cleanliness
- Ensure quick resolution of housekeeping-related issues
- Maintain a polite and professional approach with guests
6. Administrative Duties
- Maintain housekeeping reports (room status, cleaning schedules)
- Record lost and found items properly
- Track staff attendance and productivity
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and hygiene standards
