Job Summary
The Receptionist is responsible for managing the hospital front desk, welcoming patients and visitors, handling registrations, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and providing excellent customer service. The role serves as the first point of contact for patients and ensures a smooth and professional patient experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk Operations
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and attendants in a courteous and professional manner.
- Register new patients and update existing patient records accurately.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments as required.
- Direct patients and visitors to the appropriate departments and healthcare providers.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
Communication & Coordination
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Provide information regarding hospital services, departments, doctors' schedules, and procedures.
- Coordinate with various departments to facilitate patient services.
- Handle patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate authority when necessary.
Billing & Documentation
- Assist patients with registration forms and documentation requirements.
- Collect consultation fees and issue receipts as per hospital procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of appointments, registrations, and transactions.
- Ensure proper filing and management of patient records.
Customer Service
- Maintain a welcoming and patient-friendly environment.
- Address patient queries and provide assistance with hospital processes.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and data privacy at all times.
- Promote a positive image of the hospital through professional conduct.
Administrative Support
- Maintain front office registers and reports.
- Monitor waiting areas and ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
- Support hospital events, camps, and promotional activities when needed.
Required Qualifications
- PUC , Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (preferred) with good communication or
- Diploma in Administration, Hospitality, or a related field.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in reception, front office, customer service, or hospital administration.
- Freshers with good communication skills may apply.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office.
- Familiarity with Hospital Management Software (HMS) is an advantage.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Working Conditions

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
