Job Description: Senior Lead Engineer – Naval Architecture & Loadout Operations for J. M. Baxi Heavy Private Limited.
Job Responsibilities:
* Loadout Engineering & Simulation: Lead the structural and hydrodynamic design for heavy cargo transfers, focusing heavily on multi-axle SPMT operations, trailer configurations, axle-load distributions, and linkspan ramp structural math.
* Advanced Calculations: Perform and verify minute-by-minute vessel ballasting sequences, mooring analysis, barge stability, ground bearing pressure (GBP) on quays, and vessel motion response analysis.
* Structural Design & FEA: Execute and review Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for temporary steelwork, including deck grillage, timber dunnage layouts, and sea-fastening brackets to withstand high-sea transit forces.
* MWS & Regulatory Liaison: Own the technical approval process. Present engineering calculation packages to classification societies (e.g., IRS, DNV, RINA) and MWS auditors to secure "Certificates of Approval" without project delays.
* Onsite Operational Oversight: Transition from the desk to the field. Lead quayside engineering teams during live loadout operations at local ports, coordinating directly with heavy-lift operators regarding trailer stroke, pump rates, and tidal windows.
Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Ocean Engineering from a recognized institute (IIT, CUSAT, or equivalent).
* Software Proficiency: Hands-on mastery of hydrostatic/hydrodynamic software (MOSES, Orcaflex, or GHS) and structural/FEA packages (ANSYS, SACS, or STAAD.Pro).
* SPMT Expertise: Proven track record of independently designing and executing at least 3–5 high-tonnage SPMT roll-on operations.
* Codes & Standards: Deep working knowledge of marine industry standards, including DNV-ST-N001 (Marine operations and marine warranty), AISC, and IRS rules.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
