About 3Ding
3Ding is one of India's leading 3D printing companies. Since 2013 we have shipped over 30,000 printers and produced more than 10 million parts for customers including ISRO, DRDO, the IITs, Tata and Bosch. We sell printers, scanners and materials, and we run an on-demand manufacturing service covering FDM, resin, SLS, MJF and metal printing.
The role
This is a technical sales role based at our Ambattur facility. Engineers call and write to us every day asking whether we can print their part, which printer suits their lab, or what a project will cost. Your job is to answer them properly.
If you have an engineering background and you enjoy explaining technical things to people, you can do this job. We will teach you 3D printing.
What you will do
Answer incoming calls and emails from customers asking about printers, materials and printing services
Understand what the customer is trying to make, and recommend the right option
Run product demos at our facility and over video call
Prepare quotations and follow up until the order is closed
That is the job. No cold calling targets, no daily field travel.
What you need
An engineering degree or diploma, ideally Mechanical, Production, Automobile or Mechatronics
Clear spoken and written English
Willingness to learn 3D printing properly. We will train you
Freshers are welcome. We care more about whether you can explain something clearly than about your years of experience.
Nice to have
Any exposure to CAD, 3D printing or a college project involving either
Hindi, since a good part of our customer base is outside Tamil Nadu
What we offer
Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 per month, plus a 20% performance bonus

Location: In person, Ambattur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This is not a remote role.
