Business Development Officer

Position Overview
We are looking for a high-energy, result-driven Business Development Officer to champion our growth and expansion strategies across the Kollam region. In this role, you will lead our institutional sales efforts, forge strategic partnerships, and act as the face of our brand locally. If you are a proactive professional with a passion for education technology, a consultative sales mindset, and a track record of closing impactful deals, we would love to have you on board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accelerate Revenue & Growth: Actively identify, approach, and secure new B2B accounts, focusing on schools, colleges, and educational institutions throughout Kollam.
- Forge Strategic Alliances: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key academic stakeholders, including Principals, Directors, and Management Trustees.
- Deliver Product Consultations: Conduct engaging product demonstrations and presentations that effectively highlight how our solutions solve institutional pain points.
- Manage Sales Funnels: Partner with the marketing team to track, nurture, and convert high-quality leads into successful partnerships.
- Own the Sales Lifecycle: Take complete ownership of the sales process—from initial prospecting and negotiation to final contract signing—to consistently hit performance milestones.
- Gather Market Insights: Keep a pulse on local education trends, track competitor movements, and provide actionable feedback to help shape our product roadmap.
- Track & Report Progress: Maintain precise records of daily field activities, pipeline health, and key metrics through standard sales reporting tools.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Demonstrated success in B2B corporate sales or business development. Experience within the Ed-Tech or education ecosystem is a major plus.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional negotiation skills, a consultative approach to selling, and top-tier presentation abilities.
- Work Dynamics: A self-starter who thrives in an independent field-sales environment while remaining aligned with the central corporate team.
- Tools & Tech: Comfortable utilizing CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and productivity suites like MS Office.
- Language Skills: Absolute fluency in both Malayalam and English is required to effectively engage with local decision-makers.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
