JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure uninterrupted plant operations through effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all production machinery, utilities, infrastructure, and equipment. The role is responsible for end-to-end maintenance activities, new machine installation, commissioning, utility management, cost control, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plant & Machinery Maintenance
- Responsible for end-to-end maintenance of all production machines and equipment.
- Ensure maximum machine uptime and optimum equipment performance.
- Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Analyze recurring machine failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Maintain maintenance history records and machine-wise maintenance logs.
- Ensure availability of critical spare parts to avoid production interruptions.
- New Machine Installation & Projects
- Lead installation, commissioning, trial runs, and stabilization of new machinery.
- Coordinate with machine suppliers, contractors, and internal teams during project execution.
- Ensure successful machine handover with complete documentation.
- Participate in plant expansion, capacity enhancement, and automation projects.
- Prepare project timelines and monitor execution within budget and schedule.
- Utility Management
- Responsible for maintenance and operation of compressors, electrical panels, transformers, DG sets, air lines, lighting systems, and other utilities.
- Monitor utility consumption and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure uninterrupted utility support to production operations.
- Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ensure safe operation of motors, drives, control panels, sensors, PLC-based systems, and utility equipment.
- Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs when required.
- Maintenance Planning & Cost Control
- Develop annual preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor maintenance expenses and optimize maintenance costs.
- Control inventory of maintenance consumables and spare parts.
- Prepare monthly maintenance reports, downtime analysis, and improvement plans.
- Safety, Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Support BRCGS, customer, ISO, safety, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure proper machine guarding, lockout/tagout practices, and maintenance safety procedures.
- Maintain all maintenance-related records and documentation.
- Team Management
- Supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, and contractors.
- Allocate jobs, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Conduct skill development and technical training programs for maintenance personnel.
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Reduce machine downtime through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Experience in paper bag, packaging, printing, converting, FMCG, or manufacturing industries preferred.
- Expertise in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
- Hands-on experience in machine installation and commissioning.
- Knowledge of PLC, sensors, motors, drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent planning, leadership, and vendor management abilities.
- Good knowledge of safety standards, TPM, 5S, and industrial maintenance practices.
PREFERRED PROFILE
- Minimum 4–8 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing company with annual turnover of ₹100–150+ Crores.
- Proven track record in handling end-to-end maintenance operations independently.
- Experience in leading machine installation, expansion projects, and plant maintenance activities.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
