Position Details
Position: Lab Technician
Location: Near Luxy Hotel Campus, Up Side of HDFC Bank, GACL Chowkdi, Dahej, Gujarat
Department: Occupational Health Centre (OHC) / Diagnostics
Reporting To: Clinic In-charge / Operations Manager
Key ResponsibilitiesLaboratory Operations
- Collect blood, urine, and other samples as per medical protocols.
- Perform routine laboratory investigations and diagnostic tests.
- Maintain accuracy and quality standards in all laboratory procedures.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, storage, and transportation of samples.
Medical Testing & Screening
- Conduct health screening tests as required.
- Assist in pre-employment, periodic, and annual medical examinations.
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures under established guidelines.
- Support occupational health programs and employee wellness initiatives.
Documentation & Record Management
- Maintain laboratory records, reports, and registers accurately.
- Update patient and employee health records in the company portal and Excel sheets.
- Ensure timely reporting of test results and proper documentation.
Equipment Maintenance
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure regular calibration and cleanliness of laboratory equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions immediately to the concerned authority.
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels of laboratory consumables and reagents.
- Maintain records of laboratory inventory.
- Coordinate procurement requirements with the administration team.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow laboratory safety protocols and infection control practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and healthcare standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of all medical and laboratory information.
Support to Clinic Operations
- Assist doctors and nursing staff during health assessments and medical camps.
- Support emergency medical response activities whenever required.
- Perform other duties assigned by the reporting manager in the interest of clinic operations.
Required Qualifications
- DMLT / BMLT or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Relevant experience in pathology, diagnostics, industrial clinic, or healthcare setup preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge including MS Excel and MS Word.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample collection, and diagnostic equipment.
