In the child domain, Safe Society adopts a holistic development approach—integrating education, health, protection, sports, emotional well-being, and life skills to ensure long-term transformation of children’s lives.
Currently- Under our child thematic area , the organization works with :
- Nomadic and Musahar communities in Siddharthnagar and Maharajganj
- Street and urban vulnerable children through Day Care Centres in Delhi
- Children at risk of exclusion, child labour, and lack of access to education and identity systems
Role Overview
The Program Manager- Child will provide strategic leadership, program oversight, and innovation across all child-focused interventions of Safe Society. The role demands a strong understanding of child rights, community-based models, and holistic child development frameworks, along with the ability to lead teams, manage donors, and scale impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Leadership & Implementation
- Lead and monitor all child-related projects across geographies
- Ensure effective implementation of interventions in education, health, nutrition, sports, and protection
- Strengthen program quality in work with nomadic, Musahar, and urban vulnerable children
- Guide field teams to deliver child-centric, community-driven models
2. Strategic Planning & Innovation
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual plans aligned with organizational vision
- Design scalable models for holistic child development
- Strengthen intervention strategies based on field learning and evidence
- Identify emerging issues in child rights and integrate innovative solutions
3. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Establish strong data collection and impact measurement systems
- Analyse program outcomes and generate insights
- Prepare high-quality donor reports, case studies, and documentation
- Ensure timely submission of reports to leadership
4. Donor Engagement & Resource Mobilization
- Develop proposals, concept notes, and thematic documents
- Support fundraising efforts through field visits, presentations, and partnerships
- Align programs with donor priorities and reporting requirements
5. Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Mentor and guide program teams across locations
- Build capacities of field staff on child protection, education, and community engagement
- Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and collaboration
6. Field Engagement & Representation
- Monitoring to the project locations including Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Delhi, and other areas in Uttar Pradesh.
- Represent Safe Society in external forums, networks, and stakeholder meetings
- Strengthen partnerships with government systems and child protection stakeholders
7. Compliance & Organizational Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and reporting systems
- Take full ownership of program outcomes and deliverables
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director
