Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our onsite project team for an industrial civil construction project. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, resource coordination, and reporting to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against the approved baseline schedule.
- Prepare look-ahead plans and coordinate with site execution teams to achieve project milestones.
- Analyze project delays, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure work progresses as planned.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Track manpower, equipment, and material utilization to support efficient resource planning.
- Assist in preparing recovery schedules and revised project plans when required.
- Monitor critical activities and the project critical path to minimize schedule impacts.
- Support billing, client reporting, and project documentation related to planning and progress.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and company procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3–7 years of experience in planning and scheduling for industrial, infrastructure, or civil construction projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required; knowledge of Microsoft Project is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
