Team/Group Description
Network Implementation and Operations is responsible for the deployment, implementation, support, and lifecycle management of the firm's global network infrastructure. The team delivers strategic technology projects, hardware refreshes, office build-outs, network modernization initiatives, and operational improvements while ensuring the stability and reliability of the production environment. Team members collaborate closely with Engineering, Security, Cloud, Unified Communications, and Application teams to deliver scalable and secure networking solutions across the global enterprise.
Job Description
We are seeking a Pune-based Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Implementation and Operations Team within Global Technology & Operations.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused primarily on the implementation, delivery, and modernization of global network infrastructure initiatives. The successful candidate will lead and participate in network deployments, technology rollouts, infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts across the firm's global environment.
The engineer will work closely with Network Engineering, Security, Cloud, Unified Communications, and Operations teams to implement reliable, scalable, and secure solutions. In addition to project delivery responsibilities, the role provides technical oversight for operational activities and serves as an escalation point for the Network Operations Center (NOC) during complex incidents and troubleshooting efforts.
Candidates must possess strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies including WAN, LAN, wireless, NAC, routing, switching, and related infrastructure platforms. Experience with automation, scripting, and infrastructure management tools is highly desirable.
The role supports global data and voice networking, communications systems, cloud connectivity, and related infrastructure technologies.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Lead implementation and deployment of network infrastructure projects across the global enterprise.

Plan and execute hardware refreshes, software upgrades, office build-outs, migrations, and technology rollout initiatives.

Develop implementation procedures, validation plans, rollback strategies, and deployment documentation.

Collaborate with Network Engineering teams to implement new technologies, standards, and operational practices.

Manage multiple infrastructure projects and workstreams across network, cloud, voice, and security platforms.

Develop and maintain standard network configurations and implementation templates.

Coordinate implementation activities with internal technology teams, vendors, service providers, and carriers.

Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and operational procedures.

Support and advance automation initiatives using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.

Ensure thorough operational handover and knowledge transfer for newly deployed technologies.

Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and cross-discipline troubleshooting efforts.

Coordinate problem resolution efforts involving internal teams, vendors, carriers, and equipment manufacturers.

Review network performance, capacity, resiliency, and operational readiness as part of ongoing service improvement initiatives.

Provide technical leadership during implementation activities, maintenance events, and major service-impacting incidents.

Participate in after-hours and weekend implementation activities as required to support production change windows.

Qualifications, Experience, Education
The ideal candidate will have prior financial services industry experience, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, and a minimum of 8 years of experience supporting and implementing complex enterprise network infrastructures.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong technical leadership, project execution skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple technology disciplines and global teams. Cisco CCNP or equivalent industry certifications are highly desirable.

Strong experience with Cisco IOS-XE and NX-OS routing and switching platforms.

Strong experience with Aruba CX switching, Aruba Wireless, Aruba Central, and ClearPass.

Strong experience with Arista EOS and CloudVision.

Experience implementing and supporting SD-WAN technologies.

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, NAT, ACLs, route redistribution, 802.1X, Spanning Tree, QoS, DNS, DHCP, IP address management, and network security concepts.

Experience supporting SIP-based voice and collaboration technologies.

Scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.

Experience leveraging Ansible and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies for deployment, configuration management, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Experience integrating infrastructure platforms using APIs and automation frameworks.

Experience with Microsoft Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including packet capture analysis using Wireshark or similar tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver technical presentations and knowledge-transfer sessions.

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.

Familiarity with change, incident, and problem management processes.

Special Knowledge
Experience with automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and configuration management solutions including Ansible and related technologies. Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, network telemetry, compliance validation, and operational reporting platforms is desirable.
