Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Abacus Teacher to conduct engaging after-school classes for children. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Abacus-based mental arithmetic and the ability to teach young learners in a fun, interactive, and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Abacus and mental arithmetic classes for children.
- Teach students according to the prescribed curriculum and lesson plans.
- Explain concepts in a simple, engaging, and child-friendly manner.
- Develop students' calculation speed, accuracy, concentration, memory, and mental math skills.
- Provide regular practice exercises and homework.
- Track and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify students who need additional support and provide individual attention where required.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and encouraging classroom environment.
- Prepare students for Abacus assessments, competitions, and demonstrations.
- Maintain student attendance and progress records.
- Communicate with parents regarding student performance and development when required.
Requirements
- Prior experience teaching Abacus, Vedic Maths, Mental Maths, or similar programs is preferred.
- Strong numerical and mathematical skills.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Patient, friendly, and comfortable working with children.
- Ability to make learning fun and interactive.
- Punctual, responsible, and professional.
- Candidates with an Abacus teaching certification will be preferred.
Experience
0–3+ years of teaching experience in Abacus, mental mathematics, tuition, or children's education.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
