Job Title: Dietician / Clinical Dietician

Reporting To: Medical Superintendent / Hospital Administrator
Job Summary
MAGJ Hospital is seeking a qualified and compassionate Dietician to provide evidence-based nutritional care to inpatients and outpatients. The Dietician will assess patients' nutritional status, develop individualized diet plans, educate patients and their families, and work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the nutritional status of inpatients and outpatients.
- Develop and implement individualized diet plans based on medical conditions and nutritional requirements.
- Provide nutrition counseling to patients and their families on healthy eating habits and therapeutic diets.
- Monitor patients' nutritional progress and modify diet plans as required.
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate nutritional care.
- Prepare and review therapeutic diet charts for patients with diabetes, renal diseases, cardiac conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, obesity, and other clinical conditions.
- Conduct nutritional screening and assessment for admitted patients.
- Educate patients on lifestyle modifications and disease-specific nutrition management.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, food safety standards, NABH guidelines, and infection control protocols.
- Participate in health awareness programs, camps, and community education initiatives.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Coordinate with the dietary and kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and distribution of prescribed diets.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement activities, and continuing education programs.
Qualification
- B.Sc. in Food & Nutrition / Clinical Nutrition / Dietetics
- M.Sc. in Clinical Nutrition / Dietetics (Preferred)
- Registered Dietician (RD) certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- 0–2 years: Fresher candidates may apply.
- 2–5 years: Hospital experience preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition and therapeutic diets.
- Excellent patient counseling and communication skills.
- Good documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and hospital dietary practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is an added advantage.
Working Hours
- As per hospital policy and departmental roster.
Salary
Best in the industry, based on qualification and experience.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
