Job Summary
Support the maintenance team in carrying out preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance of plant machinery and equipment to ensure smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preventive maintenance of machines as per the maintenance schedule.
- Attend machine breakdowns under the guidance of senior maintenance personnel.
- Inspect mechanical components for wear and damage.
- Replace bearings, belts, chains, couplings, and other mechanical parts.
- Perform lubrication and routine servicing of machines.
- Assist in machine installation, alignment, and commissioning.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and housekeeping in the maintenance area.
- Record maintenance activities in maintenance logs.
- Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize machine downtime.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance.
- Understanding of bearings, gears, belts, chains, and couplings.
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is an advantage.
- Ability to read simple engineering drawings.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and overtime when required.
