As part of our continued growth journey, we are seeking a high-performing and commercially driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead territory performance, accelerate channel expansion, and drive sustainable business outcomes.
Role Purpose
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end sales performance within the assigned territory, driving revenue growth, ensuring billing and collection discipline, expanding the partner network, and strengthening channel relationships. The role demands strong execution capability, market acumen, and ownership towards delivering business targets while maintaining operational and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Performance & Revenue Delivery
- Drive achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in line with business objectives.
- Monitor target versus achievement performance and implement corrective actions to bridge gaps.
- Ensure consistent territory growth through focused market development initiatives.
- Track sales productivity, demand trends, and secondary market movement to optimise output.
2. Billing & Receivables Management
- Ensure timely and accurate billing in line with defined business processes and LOB requirements.
- Drive collection efficiency and ensure adherence to agreed credit terms.
- Monitor receivables ageing and proactively reduce overdue outstanding.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain healthy working capital metrics.
3. Channel Development & Outlet Expansion
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new retail partners to expand market coverage.
- Strengthen distribution reach and drive numeric and weighted distribution growth.
- Develop territory expansion plans aligned to market opportunity and business priorities.
- Ensure productivity ramp-up for newly appointed partners.
4. Retail Execution & Store Standards
- Ensure adherence to prescribed store hygiene, merchandising, and brand visibility norms.
- Conduct regular audits to monitor compliance with operational and display standards.
- Drive execution excellence at partner outlets to enhance consumer experience and brand presence.
5. Channel Partner Management
- Build and manage strong relationships with retailers and distribution partners.
- Act as the primary business interface for partners within the territory.
- Resolve operational, commercial, and service-related concerns in a timely manner.
- Drive partner engagement, retention, and long-term business collaboration.
6. Field Execution & Market Intelligence
- Undertake regular field visits to ensure effective market coverage and execution.
- Monitor implementation of sales initiatives, schemes, and company policies.
- Provide market intelligence, competitor insights, and actionable feedback to management.
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities within the territory.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in Sales, preferably within FMCG, Retail, Telecom, Consumer Durables, or Distribution-led businesses.
- Prior experience managing field sales operations and channel partners is essential.
