Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your **architectural design and infrastructure specialization** expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside **innovative and collaborative** teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of Alstom's systems to ensure scalability, performance, and sustainability. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (**engineering, cybersecurity, and operations**), **designing robust infrastructures** and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of **tiered architecture and infrastructure specialization**, but also **scaling and performance optimization**.
We’ll look to you for:
Designing and implementing tiered architecture to organize systems into functional layers
Provisioning specialized infrastructure to avoid resource contention
Distributing components for optimal load handling and database operations
Implementing multi-region/global setups for reduced latency and improved disaster recovery
Developing horizontal scaling solutions and load balancing mechanisms
Integrating caching mechanisms to enhance system responsiveness
Ensuring redundancy, failover, and high availability for critical operations
Monitoring and managing distributed systems with advanced tools
Embedding security and compliance considerations into architectural designs
Assessing risks related to technology obsolescence and promoting sustainability

Experience or understanding of tiered architecture and infrastructure design

A certification in cloud architecture or DevOps (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
