Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Science Teacher to teach students of Grades 9 and 10. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to create an engaging learning environment that promotes critical thinking and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Science subjects including History, Geography, Political Science (Civics), and Economics as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Use interactive and activity-based teaching methods to enhance student learning.
- Conduct regular assessments, class tests, assignments, and examinations.
- Evaluate answer sheets and maintain accurate academic records.
- Monitor students' academic performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for Board Examinations through revision plans, sample papers, and remedial classes.
- Integrate maps, presentations, digital resources, and current affairs into classroom teaching.
- Maintain discipline and ensure a positive classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress during PTMs and as required.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, meetings, training sessions, and co-curricular activities.
- Complete all academic documentation, including lesson plans, question papers, report cards, and assessment records within timelines.
- Follow all school policies and CBSE guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Master's Degree in the relevant subject will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in Grades 9 & 10 (CBSE preferred).
- Experience in handling Board Examination classes is an advantage.
